Everything is a task
While todo.vu is a productivity tool that has many elements of Project Management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, it’s focus is primarily about tasks – and getting them done.
We take the view that everything is a task – a sales lead, your tax return, a phone call you need to return, a meeting with a client, updating the HTML on a web page for your client, delivering a change to an architectural drawing, fixing a tap in one of your client’s units. They are all tasks and you need to either do them yourself or delegate them to someone else, and you need to make sure they are done on time.
We recognise that some tasks will be in-house tasks and some for your client/customers and their projects. We appreciate that you may work alone or in a team.
So todo.vu allows you to capture all your tasks quickly, categorise them by client or in-house and then keep track of their progress and record time spent on them.
Each task can contain file attachments and a conversation (similar to emails) and you can invite specific team members and clients to follow a task directly and receive updates.
We also provide various ways for your clients to create and view their tasks. They can email them directly into todo.vu or if they are keen, they can log in and interact directly with the tasks. But you can manage what they see easily.
You can use todo.vu to track time spent on tasks and raise billing reports that can be added to invoices for your clients.
Workflow that works
We have chosen a very simple but effective workflow to make sure everything gets done – all tasks must be in one of 4 states: to do, done, archived, or snoozed. And we provide a basic quality assurance loop – If you assign a task to someone else, then when they mark it as done you will be alerted with the option to archive the task if you are satisfied with the work or re-open it if not.
We have also worked hard to ensure that todo.vu does not slow you down. You can invite new users and add new Clients and contacts, as needed when you create tasks, so there is no need for complex setup. And the very powerful task filter makes it easy to find tasks even when you have many thousands in the system.
A simple solution for everyone
todo.vu is not like a traditional sales-focused CRM but you can use it to track sales leads. It is not like a traditional Project Management tool but it will ensure you get all your tasks done. todo.vu is not designed specifically for help-desk or support, but you can easily use it for that purpose. If you have an online store, you could use todo.vu to track your sales. If you provide inspections or testing for your clients, then todo.vu could help you track each request.
