In the latest todo.vu update, live now in your account, we’ve added a new filter option to your Task dashboard: the ‘Time logged’ filter.
You can now filter tasks according to time logged, time billed and more.
And that’s not all: enjoy speedier navigation, new time formatting, and more.
About the new ‘Time logged’ filter
In todo.vu, tasks are managed on a visual, Kanban-style task dashboard that makes it easy to handle priorities and deadlines.
When you have many tasks for many clients and projects on the go, todo.vu’s context filter helps to refine the tasks that appear on the dashboard at any one time.
This latest update introduces another filter to the mix: ‘Time logged’.
With this new filter, you can refine tasks based on the following:
— No time logged: To filter for tasks that have no time logged to them.
— Any time logged: To filter for tasks that have time logged to them.
— Unbilled: To filter for tasks that have some (not exclusively) unbilled time logged to them.
— Billed: To filter for tasks that have only (exclusively) billed time logged to them.
— Date range: To filter tasks that have time logged to them within the date range selected.
How to access the new filter
You can access the Time logged filter from the Task dashboard only, using the following two methods:
1) Select the hamburger menu to the left of the dashboard’s search bar.
— Click on the ‘time logged’ status bar; this will open the Time logged filter.
2) Select the embedded three-dot menu at the right-hand side of the dashboard’s search bar
— Select ‘By time logged’ in the drop-down menu.
Remember, you can combine filters to refine displayed tasks on the dashboard. That means you can use the Time logged filter with other filters to home in on tasks. See tasks with unbilled time logged for certain clients, projects and so on.
Benefits and use cases
✓ Find tasks that have been fully billed and thus ready to be marked as ‘Done’ and Archived.
✓ Find tasks that are yet to have any time logged to them for actioning.
✓ Find tasks that have unbilled time logged to them for invoicing.
✓ Find tasks that were worked on on a particular day.
Note: The ‘Task Adder’ bar, usually static on the Task dashboard for task creation, is not available when some Time logged filters are applied. This is because tasks created here adopt applied filters, and many Time logged filters aren’t compatible with new tasks.
